My experience
When I was looking for which coast to choose in Mauritius, I ended up deciding to stay on the southwest coast of the island. This is where you find Le Morne, classified as a UNESCO world heritage site for its cultural and historical site.
The beaches of Le Morne are very popular with sportsmen. In fact, there are the best spots on the island for windsurfing and kitesurfing (see Mauritius MORNE)
This is why I chose to stay near Le Morne for the wild side, the postcard setting, its magnificent beach and the wind which makes it easier to withstand the heat!
Our hotel LUX* Le Morne Resort turned out to be a very good choice!
