You may be wondering who is behind sacavoyage.fr and its many articles?
Who am I: Coco, passionate travel writer
Allow me to introduce myself as the editor of sacavoyage.fr: They call me Coco, diminutive of Corinne, which is my official first name but which I don't use.
Before working in a bank, I was a tourist guide in many French cities. But my story doesn't end there! Discover my professional journey below.
Coco old tourist guide
Thanks to my years of experience as a tourist guide, I understood what visitors are looking for who better appreciate good addresses, hidden treasures and practical advice rather than blah blah blah!
Additionally, as a tour guide, I was able to develop strong relationships with local tourism stakeholders. So I can recommend reliable tour guides, quality accommodations and local restaurants that offer an authentic experience.
Then I was hired by a large bank where I worked for many years. But during this not very fulfilling period professionally, I started to travel further than France.
Traveling far had become an almost vital need for me because I could forget my very conventional days and meet people more authentic than bankers and wealthy clients.
Among the first trips I had the chance to take, my favorite destinations were India, China, Mexico (where I returned later), theEcuadorhave Polynesia (where I also returned a few years later) and Myanmar (Burma) just before the country was taken over by the military junta.
How was sacavoyage.fr born?
During those years at the Bank, I only lived to travel. All my savings went there with the bonus of gifts from my family and friends. So, backpacking, with small budgets, I was able to travel every summer and sometimes during the All Saints' Day or Christmas holidays.
Thus, I had the chance to discover many magnificent countries and interact with men and women from very different cultures but also with travelers from all over the world.
These unique journeys (Panama, Colombia, Peru, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia and many others) inspired me and the idea came to me to share my knowledge and advice on the internet.
This is how sacavoyage.fr was born, with the aim of helping travelers plan their trips and live unique experiences.
As a writer, I share my own travel experiences, hoping it can help others avoid tourist traps and discover the hidden gems of each destination.
How is sacavoyage.fr different from other travel blogs?
What sets sacavoyage.fr apart from other travel blogs is the in-depth knowledge of destinations in France and around the world, practical tips for traveling and lesser-known places in France to discover such as my circuit in Lot et Garonne, a Ariege or in the Gers.
But above all, sacavoyage.fr offers detailed itineraries with Google Maps and recommendations for visits, restaurants and hotels.
Additionally, I pride myself on providing authentic and honest recommendations. I want sacavoyage.fr readers to feel inspired and confident in their travel choices.
Reliable and serious partners
Among the many platforms for booking flights, hotels and excursions, sacavoyage.fr has only selected the best and most reliable.
He had the opportunity and enough credibility to collaborate with domain experts like Booking.com et civitatis.com.
These are the two main partners with which the site is affiliated. Indeed, I hope that sacavoyage.fr readers can have complete satisfaction when they book via an affiliate link. Thus, I limited the collaborations to only 2 partners with whom there has never been any problem and who are at the top worldwide.
As for the advertisements, these are those of Google with which sacavoyage.fr is also in partnership
