From our hotel, the next morning we took Georges Street and walked along it to the Queen Victoria Building. After a 10-minute walk, we arrived in the heart of Sydney's city centre.

Here is one of the most beautiful monuments of Sydney: an enormous building from the Victorian era used as a chic store in the "Galleries Lafayette" style.

Magnificent stained glass windows, wrought iron balconies, colorful mosaics… It's a little gem in the heart of Sydney!

Sydney in 2 days - The Strand Arcade

The Strand Arcade is a magnificent Victorian-style shopping arcade located at 195 Pitt Street (in the heart of Sydney's central business district) between Pitt Street Mall and George Street. Exploring this place feels like stepping back in time, and you'll find yourself admiring and examining all the little shops… The macaron stand (French macarons) is absolutely stunning!

The Sydney Tower is the tallest structure in Sydney. Australians have given it several names: the Sydney Tower Eye, AMP Tower, the Flower Tower, Glower Tower, Westfield Centrepoint Tower, Big Poke, and Centrepoint. It stands 310 meters tall and is located in the central business district, between Pitt and Castlereagh Streets. The tower is accessible from the Pitt Street Shopping Centre, Market Street, and Castlereagh Street, and sits atop the Westfield Sydney shopping centre (formerly Centrepoint).

It is around 17 pm that the colors of the wings of the Opera are the most beautiful ... Taking the time to stroll again on the Circular Quay at nightfall is a real moment of happiness ...

My cheap hotel in Sydney

The hotel I booked, the City Lodge Hotel (now called Comfort Hotel Sydney City ), was very well located, allowing us to explore Sydney in two days on foot. We didn't use any taxis or public transport. It was an ideal choice for a very reasonable price (88 Euros).
