In this article, you will find the detailed itinerary with map and links to the sites visited.

My 15-day itinerary in Peru

When we prepared this circuit (see article TOUR IN PERU IN 15 DAYS, we had to arbitrate between several major sites in Peru. Indeed, 16 days were unfortunately not enough to see and do everything…

It is therefore with great regret that we have eliminated the peaceful part (PARACAS and BALLESTAS) and the AMAZONIA part.

What to visit in 2 weeks in Peru?

Here are the main stages of our 15-day itinerary in Peru:

And, if you want more general information on preparing for this trip, then RV on the following article: TOUR IN PERU IN 15 DAYS

Indeed, this article answers the questions: Why Peru, when to go, for how long, what transport, what hotels, what budget.

This is very useful information which will allow you to organize your tour with practical advice.

Find detailed information on each stage (sites visited, restaurants, hotels) in my day-to-day travel stories: DAY 1 - Arrival and hotel transfer to LIMA

  1. Hello,

thank you for your very interesting articles!

I am organizing a trip of about 20 days in Peru and Bolivia. For Peru, my trip is more or less the same as yours in terms of major stopping points, but I ask myself a question: is it better 2 days in Arequipa or 2 days in Cuzco? Because I had planned 1 day Arequipa, 2 days Canyons Colca, 1 day Arequipa [………] and 1 day Cuzco, 1 day Pisac, 1 day following the sacred valley to Ollataytambo then 1 day Macchu Picchu then return to Cuzco. In terms of pure city visit, it only gives me 1 day in Cuzco and I was wondering if it would not be better to plan only 1 day of pure visit to Arequipa?

Thank you very much for your review!

    Aurélie

    1. Hello Aurélie,
If I had to decide between 1 day in Cuzco or 1 day in Arequipa, without hesitation, I would choose Arequipa for its Santa Catalina Monastery, its atmosphere, its main square, its market and especially its good little restaurants! See my article: https://sacavoyage.fr/jour-4-visite-arequipa/
It doesn't mean that I didn't like Cusco but I really preferred Arequipa.

  2. Classes available every day from Nine AM to Twelve midday.
a big thank you for your very concrete and practical information! Can you give me the details of the "private driver Julio" (Arequipa-colca-puno)?
    Thank you, nice day
Braeken family departure scheduled for July 6, 2020

    1. Hello Braeken family,
It's a great travel plan that you are planning for next year!
Regarding our nice driver, I regret not having asked him for a card. In fact, we had not contacted him directly. It was Thomas Montaigne, a Frenchman who lives in Arequipa, who organized transport for us in the Colca region to Puno and who therefore “provided” us with our driver Julio. To contact him, here are his contact details:

      Tel: (0051) 974 211 440 and his email: contact@perou-voyages.com

If you have other questions, do not hesitate.

Hello, I had a great time reading your travel stories in Peru. I also have the habit of organizing trips for my family and friends. This year I chose Peru for a period of approximately 20 days. I had started to explore the destinations you mention and I must say that your site is exceptional.
I explore a lot and therefore I can say it with a certain hindsight!
    Congratulations again

    1. Hello Laurent,

Many thanks for your comment. I am sure that your trip to Peru will be as rich and interesting as ours. Please don't hesitate to get back to me if you have any questions.
