Where are the Gorges du Tarn located?
Over millions of years, the Tarn river has carved out a superb canyon that can be followed for 53 km.
Straddling 2 departments (Lozère and Aveyron), the Gorges du Tarn are located in the heart of the Causses and Cévennes territory. They cross the Causse Noir, the Causse Méjean and the Causse de Sauveterre. These causses are limestone plateaus that can reach 1000 m high.
Where are the Gorges de la Jonte located?
The Jonte river which is a tributary of the Tarn has also carved a narrower but equally magnificent canyon. Its gorges, which are very close to those of the Tarn, can be visited by making a loop with the Gorges du Tarn. These gorges are wild and very sparsely populated except by vultures.

- Or choose the plane for the nearest airport: Montpellier-Méditerranée or Rodez.
And for those who also think of preserving our planet, why not a blablacar or the bus (Flixbus Paris-Montpellier at 15 €).

The hotel and Airbnb offer is not very important in the villages of my circuit. But I know an address which is a nugget!
Indeed, to spend a dream night in a magical place and in an exceptional setting, it is at the Château de la Caze that you must sleep. It is surrounded by a forest and golden cliffs and has (among others) a private beach, a spa, a swimming pool, a restaurant ...
Especially since its geographical location is ideal halfway through my 2-day tour.
