Visit Saint Tropez in 1 day my itinerary

What to see in Saint-Tropez?

The peninsula of Saint Tropez is a place, which in the collective unconscious, makes people think of people, stars, trendy parties and luxury holidays. But Saint Tropez is not just about yachts, prestigious villas, clubs and luxury boutiques.

Indeed, before 1950 and film And God created the woman with Brigitte Bardot, Saint Tropez was just a modest fishing village. But this small fishing port has its own identity, a culturally rich past and a history that has left its mark.

It is not for the Jet Set that artists like Matisse, Signac or Dunoyer de Segonzac were inspired by Saint Tropez but for its narrow streets, its colorful facades, its fishermen's houses and its typical landscapes. It is this side of Saint Tropez that you can discover in addition to its famous port and the famous Place des Lices.

How to visit Saint-Tropez?

In general, those who come to Saint Tropez simply to visit the city, spend 1 day there. And to visit Saint Tropez in 1 day, they can choose between:

  • a boat trip from Nice : The advantage of this formula is that you avoid all the traffic jams and traffic that there are usually on the only access road to Saint Tropez;
  • get to theOffice of Tourism to book a guided tour;
  • or choose to visit Saint Tropez on foot at your own pace following my tourist route. You can do it in a full day or half a day at a more sustained pace. This walking tour allows you to see theessential of Saint Tropez. See detailed itinerary below.

Visit Saint Tropez on foot

Most tourists come to Saint Tropez waste a lot of time in the traffic jams at the entrance to the city and looking for where to park. Suddenly, they take a walk on the port, taste an ice cream at Sénéquier, go to see the gendarmerie which has become legendary since the film Les Gendarmes à Saint Tropez, and that's it.

So, in fact, with better organization, you can enjoy much more varied and interesting visits and activities in 1 day! Especially since Saint Tropez is very small and the mythical sites of the city are all very close to each other. So it's super easy and very pleasant to discover them by taking a short walking tour through its alleys, its luxury shops, its famous port and its secret corners.
