For my first stay in Corsica, I hesitated between North or South then after having selected the South, I looked for where are located the most beautiful beaches in southern Corsica.
Indeed, for this first discovery of Corsica, I wanted above all to take advantage of paradisiacal beaches which are mostly found in southern Corsica.
Here is the list of beaches that are classified as the most beautiful in Corsica and my little list of most beautiful secret beaches in southern Corsica !

If the first 3 beaches mentioned: Santa Giulia, Palombaggia and Rindinara are undoubtedly the 3 most beautiful beaches in Corsica, the others are not classified but simply listed. Indeed, a classification is always subjective because each one can have a preference for one or the other. In fact, they are all just as beautiful as the next!
Here is some info on 3 most beautiful beaches in Corsica + beaches of the Lavezzi islands :
Santa Giulia beach in South Corsica
It is called the "Pearl of the South" because it is so beautiful! Located to the south of the Gulf of Porto Vecchio, at the foot of a mountain, this beach with its turquoise lagoon looks like a Polynesian beach! It is its umbrella pines that remind us that we are in the Mediterranean.

Rondinara beach in South Corsica
Another beach at the top of the most beautiful beaches in Southern Corsica: Rondinara beach. Between Bonifacio (29 km) and Porto-Vecchio (20 km), Rondinara is a dream beach with its turquoise waters, the shape of its bay in an arc, its golden rocks and its white sand.
Access to this beach via a steep road is quite easy. And a large free car park in low season is located right next to the beach (€ 5 in high season). Phone: +33 (0) 4 95 73 11 88
Beaches of the Lavezzi islands in southern Corsica
To get to the Lavezzi Islands, it is better to leave Bonifacio because the Lavezzi Islands are located only 10 km from Bonifacio. You can take a sea shuttle, a day cruise or rent a boat to enjoy it freely!
In fact, the Lavezzi Islands look like paradise with beaches of sublime beauty. In addition, they are wild, not very crowded and suddenly much quieter than the other beaches in southern Corsica.
Among the most beautiful, 2 beaches stand out for their dream setting:
Cala Achiania Beach
South of the main island Levezzu, Achiarina beach is considered to be the most beautiful beach on the island. It is also one of the best snorkeling spots.
Cala di u Lioni Beach
More wild, with many rocks, this beach is a haven of peace ...
Most beautiful secret beaches in southern Corsica
If you go to South Corsica out of season, you can enjoy the most beautiful places listed below without being towel against towel because out of season they are not crowded ...
But if you come to Corsica in July or August, these beaches are crowded… So I advise you to choose lesser-known beaches, just as beautiful and much quieter! Here is a small (non-exhaustive) list of the most beautiful secret beaches in Southern Corsica:
Secret beach of San Giovianni
The beach of San Giovianni is not at all known to tourists which seems incredible in view of its beauty! Located in Pianottoli-Caldarello (see on Google Map) in the Gulf of Figari, it is a magnificent place where there are several small coves of fine sand.
To get there, you have to go to Figari and take the direction of Pianottoli-Caldarello. When you get to the village, take the D122 towards the port of Figari. And just before the port, you have to turn right. The beach is located below the road but is hidden by trees. As it is not visible, it is not too crowded even in the middle of summer.
Piantarella Secret Beach
Right next to the well-known Petit Sperone beach, is the secret beach of Piantarella (see on Google Map).
To get there, just go to the Petit Sperone cove and walk about 10 minutes to reach the splendid lagoon of Piantarella. It is a wonderful place where you can paddle, kayak or kitesurf.
Secret beach of Tamaricciu
To avoid the crowds of summer visitors crowded together on the magnificent Palombaggia beach, you can walk a 5-minute walk to Tamaricciu beach (see on Google Map). Indeed, just walk along the pine forest to find yourself more peaceful in a postcard setting!
Paragan Secret Beach
6 km from Bonifacio, you can find another very beautiful secret beach of South Corsica: the beach of Paragano or Paragan (see on Google Map).
This almost deserted beach is dotted with small coves and numerous rocks. Very little fine sand, it allows you to swim almost alone in the world in crystal clear turquoise waters.
- To get there by car, follow the national 196 towards Sartène and 2 km after the roundabout at the exit of Bonifacio, take the track on the left.
- To access it on foot, you can walk (1 hour) from the port of Bonifacio by taking avenue Sylvère Bohn and follow a small path that leads to the beach.
Chiuni Secret Beach
Chiuni beach is a "confidential" beach located near Cargèse (see Google Map). Club Med is located on this paradisiacal beach. As a result, you can take the opportunity to go jet skiing, paddle boarding or horseback riding.
Easy to reach by car, with free parking near the beach, you can also access this beach by walking about 1 hour from Peru beach.
Cupabia secret beach
This pretty Cupabia beach is located between Porto-Pollo and Coti-Chiavari (see on Google Map).
If this beach is well known to windsurfers, it remains uncrowded for mass tourism. To enjoy its white sand and translucent waters, you can go by car via the D155.
Secret Stagnolu Beach
Here is one of the wildest beaches in southern Corsica. The stagnolu beach is a magnificent white sand beach with small coves that invite you to relax and swim! Easily accessible by car with parking nearby.
To access it, you must park at the Tonnara beach and take a short 15-minute walk along the coastal path that goes to the left.
