During my trip to Hanoi, I had the chance to discover the vegetarian restaurant Kasaya which left me with an unforgettable memory. Located in the Ba Đình district near the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Imperial City of Thăng Long, Kasaya is a true haven of peace in the heart of the city. See its location on Google maps.
Kasaya is much more than just a vegetarian restaurant: It is a unique culinary and relaxation experience in a very zen and soothing setting.
If you are looking for a place where you can relax and enjoy delicious vegetarian food, Kasaya is a must. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi who wants to explore the richness of Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine.
After having had the chance to test this exceptional place, I invite you to discover why Kasaya is considered one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Hanoi.

Ambiance of this vegetarian restaurant in Hanoi
From the entrance, Kasaya impressed me with the beauty of its decoration, its modern and refined architecture, inspired by the Buddhist robes "cà sa".
Steel staircases adorned with cut-out patterns add a touch of artistic elegance, while natural materials and subtle lighting enhance the serene atmosphere.

The restaurant spans three floors, with a central skylight that floods the space with natural light, creating a calming and contemplative ambiance.
In addition, the exhibition of splendid works of art in the Kasaya restaurant creates a complete sensory experience, where art and gastronomy come together to offer guests a unique culinary and artistic journey.

Please note that the name Kasa comes from the Buddhist term Kasa ou Than, which refers to a sacred garment worn by Buddhist monks. This garment symbolizes the abandonment of material goods and detachment from the world.
In the context of Kasaya Restaurant in Hanoi, this name was surely chosen to reflect values of simplicity, spirituality and connection to Buddhist culture.
Kasaya and its authentic vegetarian cuisine
Kasaya’s cuisine is a true celebration of local flavours and ingredients. The restaurant follows the philosophy of “each season has its own produce”, meaning that each dish is prepared with the best ingredients available according to the season, ensuring complete nutrition and delicious flavours all year round. Dishes range from kiwi spring rolls to coconut rice dishes, as well as gluten-free and vegan options. View their menu.
I had the chance to taste several dishes. Indeed, with my partner we like to take different dishes and share them.
So, I was able to taste and enjoy the vegetable tempura, a Com Gao Lut Hat Sen (brown rice dish with cucumber and lotus nuts), a pineapple, coconut and almond rice dish as well as the traditional vegetarian Pho. Everything was very well presented and succulent!

With an avocado, peanut and coconut juice, the bill came to 570 VDN (or 000 euros for two!).
