Here it is, it is now decided, for your next one weekend in Europe you will go visit Lisbon in 2 days. And of course you want to discover in 2 days all must-sees in Lisbon, all its most beautiful places and some good restaurants… So here are my two walking tours which allow to make a one day loop to see the most beautiful sites in Lisbon. And for the practical side, you will also find the 2 route maps of the 2 city tours.
Lisbon in 2 days - How to get to Lisbon?
Unless you plan a road trip of several days in Portugal, the easiest and most practical to go to weekend in Lisbon is to take the plane.
But be careful, if you do not want to explode your weekend budget, you will not have to take your tickets the day before for the next day. Indeed, by anticipating a little, you will be able to obtain tickets at very interesting prices. This is why I advise you (as soon as you have determined the exact dates of your stay) to compare the prices of flights to Lisbon on the internet.
Another tip for cheaper travel: Avoid school vacation periods or the end of year holiday season. Indeed, according to the Airlines and the departure dates, the prices of the plane tickets can vary from the simple to the double.
That's why, I always use the flight comparator Easyvoyage before making my reservations.
Lisbon in 2 days - Which hotel in Lisbon?
There, you will be spoiled for choice between Airbnb, luxury hotels or small charming hotels… There is a wide range of accommodation in Lisbon for all budgets.
The important thing will be to choose a hotel or a central Airbnb so as not to waste time in transport and to be close to cafes and good little restaurants (see my 2 favorites at the end of the article).

Lisbon in 2 days - Tram 28
My two must-see Lisbon tours are designed to be done on foot but it would be a shame not to take the tram 28 which has become almost an emblem of Lisbon! This old yellow tram can take you around the neighborhoods of Alfama, Baixa or Graca.
You can take it at many stops but to make it part of my walking tour circuit, I advise you to take it at Portas do Sol station or Chiado station.
Here are the stops for line 28:
- Martim Moniz
- Grace
- Doors of the Sun
- Sé Cathedral
- Rua Conceicao
- Chiado
- Sao Bento
- Star
- Campo Ourique
To plan a tram trip, you can use the simulator available on the official website for bus and tram transport:
http://www.carris.pt/pt/simulador-percurso/
And if you want to take it more often, know that it sells tickets that allow unlimited trips over 24 hours. This type of ticket is also valid for taking theSanta Justa elevator (stage of my circuit).

Weekend in Lisbon - Where to stay?
The hotel below is located in the most beautiful Lisbon district à Baixa Chiato. Its location is perfect for sightseeing as it is in a central, quiet location and close to Lisbon tourist sites, shops and restaurants.
Weekend in Lisbon - Where to stay cheap?
Next to the train station, facing the Tagus river and close to the metro, I recommend a nice inexpensive hostel. It has a swimming pool and a pretty cool roof terrace! It is an ideal accommodation for tourists looking for exceptional value for money while being in a great position to explore Lisbon on foot.
Another idea for a weekend in Europe?
Why not a city tour in Amsterdam
un weekend in Florenceor a Venice or to Rome ?
