As I knew that in general hotels are very dear in australia, I booked the hotels for my personalised tour. So I was able to have more choice in terms of dates but above all I was able to access best prices. It should be understood that it is not easy to find a decent hotel in a good location in the center of Sydney for a price below 100 Euros per night. But since I did it well in advance, there were still some good tips. The City Lodge Hotel seems, indeed, to be a great value for money.
Its main asset is its location. Indeed, located in the central business district of Sydney, its location is very central with Winyard station which allows direct access to the airport. In addition, placed between the two main avenues Pitts Street and Georges Street, it is only a 15-minute walk from the famous Sydney Opera House. From this hotel you can also walk to Circular quays, the Rocks and the harbor in just 10 minutes!
Admittedly, its decoration looks a bit old-fashioned, but a kitchen and a dining area are available in the common areas (very practical for the evening when you are too tired to go to the restaurant).

Located 5 minutes from Brisbane airport and 10 minutes drive from the city center, its location suited me very well for a simple stopover hotel before my road trip. Indeed, I will arrive at Brisbane airport in the evening and take the rental car at the airport for a departure the next day to Herbey Bay. In addition, this inexpensive hotel has advantages that convinced me: saltwater swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, barbecue area, outdoor lounge and free parking space.

In addition, its environment is beautiful (tropical gardens) and it overlooks Shelly Beach. His value for money is exceptional for its services (beautiful swimming pool, restaurant, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, kitchenette, spa…).
