How to select CHEAP HOTELS in Mauritius?
My goal is to first find a ideal location. A first “sorting” is therefore done on Booking and Tripavisor with a filter on the desired locations.
Then, the 2nd criterion will be the very small price because yes, I am only looking for good deals on cheap hotels. And there, after having selected the price range going from 50 to 100 Euros per night (the minimum to have something correct in Mauritius), the choice becomes much more limited!
Then the accommodation is clean, simple but comfortable and have a few little extras like the WIFI, air conditioning...
This is where the long work of detailed research begins, reading the comments, making comparisons ... to find the best cheap hotels in Mauritius.
But stubborn little ant knows that she will always achieve her destiny!
The places that I have targeted on the Island are in the North West on the side of hind hole, Pepper tip or even Mont Choisy.
Indeed, I had to limit my research to these areas only (which are not disgusting as Gainsbourg would say ...) because near the beaches of Le Morne, Flic en Flac, Blue Bay ... the hotels responding to my criteria are priced far too high for my budget.

Good plan for its quality / price ratio
630 Euros per week for 2 people including breakfasts. Which brings the price down to 315 Euros per person, or about 45 Euros per person per day...
There is nothing to add because such a price with similar services on the seafront in Mauritius, it is simply exceptional!

My latest find is the two star hotel Cocotiers Seaside Boutik located at Royal Road, Baie du Tombeau. It is also a good hotel plan for Mauritius !
Interesting location
Located on the Tombeau Bay beach, this hotel is only 9 km from Port-Louis. It is therefore well located for exploring the capital and its market.

It is surrounded by tropical gardens and has an outdoor swimming pool and a children's pool.
